Credentials and training
Keshav Agrawal, CPA, is the founder of Prem Tax and Accounting Corp. He holds a Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com) and a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.), although he is not a practicing lawyer. He is also a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA) and a Cost and Works Accountant. He earned all of these in India before moving to the United States in 1998, and in the United States he added the CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) credentials. Accounting, audit, information-systems and law training under one roof is uncommon in a tax office, and it shapes how we plan for business owners.
Strategy, planning and anticipating risk
We are not an average tax preparer who is just a form filler. We are active formulators of tax strategy and tax planning for owners: how the business is structured, how the owner is paid, which retirement and benefit plans fit, and when purchases and income are timed. We plan before the year ends, not after it. We also anticipate risk, such as a payroll notice, an audit or a change in the law, and we plan in advance how to address it if it arises.
